The last 62-mile leg of the 3,400-mile ride will start in Bristol. at 7:15 a.m. and finish in Fairfield at approximately 1:30 p.m.
The Cowabunga food truck will be on hand serving lunch.
The 3,400- mile coast-to-coast began on Sunday, Sept. 3 in Manhattan Beach, CA. and is filled with dedicated cyclists, patients, loved ones and supporters personally impacted by multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer.
Sponsored by Janssen Oncology, the “Road to Victories” endurance event is on track to raise more than $400,000 for critical myeloma research as well as broaden awareness and community support.
The inspiring team of 18 cyclists includes five patients, as well as loved ones, supporters, and MMRF and Janssen Oncology employee/s. Seven cyclists are planning to complete the entire coast-to-coast ride. Another group of 11 cyclists, including four multiple myeloma patients, rode the first eight days of the journey – 546 miles through the Mojave Desert and then up mountain passes to Flagstaff, AZ.
